Raul Sosa is a Spanish aviation expert with 34 years of experience at IBERIA Airlines as a Pilot and Manager. He retired in 2004 as A-340 Captain and Instructor. He was Check Pilot, Inspector and flight Instructor, Deputy Director Technical and Flight Support, Human Factors Manager, Vice President Training, Senior Vice President Flight Operations and Member of Iberia Executive Committee. He represented Iberia at several organizations like IATA, AEA, and FSF. He was assigned to create from scratch a regional airline within Iberia Group as Technical Director first and then as Director Flight Operations. When retired from IBERIA Raul’s last position was Director of Aviation at Jet Republic Portugal, an exclusive business aviation company. Previously he was founder and CEO at Qualitas Training, a consulting and training specialized firm in Spain. He is currently Instructor at IATA Training and Development Institute (ITDI) and his interests are: Human Factors in Aviation, Safety Management System and Quality Management. He is Professor at Madrid’s Autonomous University in Flight Operations Management and Human Factors. Raul is also a Member of Flight Safety Foundation, the European Association of Aviation Psychology, the Spanish Association of Aviation Psychology, the Royal Aeronautical Society, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics AIAA, among other aviation institutions.
